Responsible gambling

Gambling should be entertainment you can afford, not a way to make money or escape problems. New casinos are exciting — that is exactly why limits matter more, not less.

18+ only

All content on New Casino Radar is intended for adults aged 18 or over (or the legal gambling age where you live, if higher). If you are under that age, please leave this site.

Five rules we follow ourselves

  1. Set a monthly budget before you play, from money you can afford to lose. Never use money meant for rent, bills or debt.
  2. Set a time limit per session. Fast games such as slots and crash games make time disappear.
  3. Never chase losses. Increasing stakes to win back money is the most common route into harm.
  4. Do not gamble to fix a mood. If you play when stressed, low or bored, take a break.
  5. Treat bonuses as entertainment. No welcome offer changes the house edge — see our bonus maths guide.

Tools to use at any casino

  • Deposit limits — daily, weekly or monthly caps you set in your account.
  • Loss and session limits — where offered, they stop play automatically.
  • Reality checks — pop-ups that show how long you have been playing.
  • Cool-off / time-out — a short break from your account, from 24 hours to several weeks.
  • Self-exclusion — closing your account for months or years. Ask the casino to apply it to all its sister sites too.
  • Blocking software — tools such as Gamban or BetBlocker can block gambling sites across your devices.

When we review a casino, the presence of these tools is part of our score. If a casino makes them hard to find, that tells you something — see how to spot a rogue casino.

Warning signs

  • Spending more money or time than you planned, regularly.
  • Borrowing, selling things or using credit to gamble.
  • Hiding your gambling from people close to you.
  • Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
  • Gambling to win back losses or to escape problems.

If any of these sound familiar, it is a good moment to talk to someone. You do not have to be in crisis to ask for help.

A note on new casinos

New casinos are designed to be exciting: fresh brands, large welcome packages, constant promotions. That novelty is the reason we recommend a strict small-stake approach and the 90-day watch. The same discipline that protects you from a bad operator protects you from overspending at a good one.
